I like to cook for others, eat, and occasionally run (so I can eat some more).
I don’t deserve it, but I have an amazing family of Robin (I married up!) and the three kids: the tiger, the sea lion, and the piglet.
I’ve liked tall mountains since a trip to Colorado in the early 1980s, and I like them even better when I can stand on their shoulders and see the world differently.
I’m a learner, a reader, someone who can’t help but think strategically, a deep conversation-starter. I have never taken a personality assessment.
I’m not a Central or South American “futbol” player (though I’ve worn a few jerseys around), nor one of the Jonas or Osmond brothers, nor a guy who skates in Memphis (though I’ve been told I look like all those).
I’m on the staff at Signal Mountain Presbyterian (EPC) and am privileged to work with amazing students, families, and their leader teams. This is my personal site.
I like to write and wonder and think out loud. As a friend says: remember that this is a blog and some explorations, not a definitive doctrinal or theological statement. Contact me if you’re after that.
I live in the new creation (Galatians 6:14-16).

I’m endlessly captivated by the person and work of the resurrected Jesus.
